About Us
Practical guidance for men rebuilding after divorce, strengthening fatherhood, and reclaiming purpose.
You Didn’t Lose Yourself. You Just Haven’t Found What’s Next Yet.
Divorce doesn’t end a man’s story. It interrupts it. And in that interruption—between who you were inside a marriage and who you’re going to become on the other side—there is a gap that most men are expected to cross alone, in silence, without a map.
Votre Mentor exists to change that.
We are a practical resource built specifically for men navigating divorce, separation, and the complex terrain of fatherhood and self-reinvention that follows. We don’t deal in empty reassurance or generic life advice. We deal in the real work: the psychological, the practical, the emotional, and the purposeful.
What We Cover
Our content is organized around the things men actually face after divorce—not the things they’re supposed to talk about, but the things they’re actually dealing with at 11pm on a Wednesday when the apartment is quiet.
- Divorce recovery: identity, confidence, grief, and rebuilding from the ground up
- Emotional health: how men process pain, suppress it, and what that costs them long-term
- Fatherhood after divorce: co-parenting, presence, custody, and staying a great dad through it all
- Purpose and direction: designing a life that is genuinely yours, not just a version of what came before
- Practical guidance: from legal considerations and financial adjustment to dating again and rebuilding social life
Who We Write For
We write for the man who is handling things externally and unraveling privately. For the father who shows up at every pickup and drop-off while quietly not knowing who he is outside that role. For the man who has been told to be strong so many times that he’s lost the language for anything else.
We also write for men who are further along—men who have stabilized after divorce and are now asking the bigger question: what do I actually want from this next chapter?
Whatever stage you’re at, you’re not behind. You’re exactly where the work begins.
Our Approach
Everything on Votre Mentor is grounded in psychology, research, and the lived reality of men’s experience after divorce. We draw on clinical frameworks—cognitive behavioral therapy, attachment theory, acceptance and commitment therapy—and translate them into guidance that is direct, practical, and honest.
We are not a therapy service. We are not a legal firm. We are a knowledgeable, direct, and honest guide for men who want to understand what’s happening to them and what to do about it.
The Name
Votre Mentor is French for ‘Your Mentor.’ The name is intentional. A mentor doesn’t fix things for you. A mentor helps you see clearly, holds a higher standard for you than you might hold for yourself in a difficult moment, and walks alongside you without taking over the journey. That’s exactly what we aim to be.
